Car wrapping
for Pakenham.

About twenty-five minutes from the workshop. A full colour change is about a week with us, so it is one trip in and one trip home.

From Pakenham the drive is worth it for the same reason the job takes a week: a wrap done properly is a car taken apart, wrapped panel by panel in a clean workshop and put back together. That is not something that can be done on a driveway, and it is why there is no mobile option for a full wrap.

If the car does a lot of freeway kilometres, it is worth knowing what film can and cannot do. Vinyl takes light scuffs, but it is not built to stop stones. If the bonnet and front bar are already collecting chips, paint protection film on the front end is the right tool, and it can go on the same car.

A part wrap - a bonnet, a roof, a set of mirrors - is usually a few hours, so that is a drop off in the morning and home the same afternoon.

What you can have

How far it goes is your call.

  • Full colour change

Every painted panel, wrapped and tucked. The car reads as that colour from any angle, including with the doors open.

  • Part wraps

A bonnet, a roof, a set of mirrors. The cheapest way to break up a colour, and usually a few hours rather than a week.

  • Printed designs

Artwork printed onto the film and laid to a layout drawn up first, so you see how it sits on the car before anything is installed.

  • Colour-shift and specialty film

Films that move through two or three colours as the light changes, plus chrome, brushed metal and textured finishes.

Car wrapping in Pakenham, answered.

Will a wrap stop stone chips?

Not reliably. Wrap film is thin and made for colour, so a stone off a truck can still go through it. Paint protection film is around 200 microns and is made to take that hit - it is the right answer for a bonnet and front bar that see a lot of freeway.

Is there a mobile option?

Not for wrapping. Film and dust do not mix, and anything that lands on a panel before the film goes on is under it for good, so every job is done inside the workshop.

Will a wrap damage my paint?

No. Film comes off clean and the paint underneath is in the condition it went on in - which is why a wrap is also a way of protecting original paint on a car you intend to keep. Paint that was already flaking or has been resprayed badly is the exception, and we will tell you before we start.

Can I take it through a car wash?

Hand wash it. Automatic washes with brushes catch edges, and that is where a wrap starts to lift.
