Most wrap shops are a drive. For Cranbourne it is around the corner, which matters more than it sounds: a full colour change keeps the car here for about a week, and being close is what makes that week easy to plan around.

Everything happens inside the unit. The car comes apart before any film goes on - handles, badges, lights, and on a full job the doors - so the film can be wrapped into the shuts instead of cut at them. That is the difference between a wrap that lasts and one that starts lifting at the edges.

If you would rather see the work before you book, the gallery is all out of this workshop. Call first if you want to come past and talk it through, because someone is usually on a car rather than at a desk.

What you can have

How far it goes is your call.

  • Full colour change

Every painted panel, wrapped and tucked. The car reads as that colour from any angle, including with the doors open.

  • Part wraps

A bonnet, a roof, a set of mirrors. The cheapest way to break up a colour, and usually a few hours rather than a week.

  • Printed designs

Artwork printed onto the film and laid to a layout drawn up first, so you see how it sits on the car before anything is installed.

  • Colour-shift and specialty film

Films that move through two or three colours as the light changes, plus chrome, brushed metal and textured finishes.

Car wrapping in Cranbourne, answered.

Where is the workshop?

9 Tech Way, Cranbourne, in the industrial estate. The unit is shared with DMR Autoworx, who handle the mechanical side, so a car that needs both does not have to go to two addresses.

Do you need the car for the whole week?

For a full colour change, yes - it comes apart, gets wrapped panel by panel and goes back together. A bonnet, a roof or a set of mirrors is usually a few hours, so that is a drop off in the morning and a pick up the same day.

Will a wrap damage my paint?

No. Film comes off clean and the paint underneath is in the condition it went on in - which is why a wrap is also a way of protecting original paint on a car you intend to keep. Paint that was already flaking or has been resprayed badly is the exception, and we will tell you before we start.

How long does a wrap last?

Several years on a car that is garaged and washed by hand. Horizontal panels - roof, bonnet, boot - take the most sun and are always the first to go. Matte and satin films need a bit more care than gloss.
