Defiant Motor Culture is a cosmetic vehicle workshop in the Cranbourne industrial estate. Wrapping, paint protection film, tinting and signage, all of it under one roof. Nothing mechanical - DMR Autoworx shares the unit and covers that side, so a car that needs both does not go to two addresses.
Film and dust do not mix. Anything that lands on a panel before the film goes on is under it permanently, so every stage of every job happens inside rather than on a driveway. It is also why a full colour change takes a week. The car comes apart first - handles, badges, lights, and on a full wrap the doors themselves.
Film wrapped into the shuts instead of cut at them is the difference between a wrap and a wrap that looks like one.

What is the difference between a wrap and paint protection film?
A wrap changes how the car looks. Film protects what is underneath. Vinyl gives you the colour, the finish and the design. PPF is thicker, so it takes the rocks and the debris instead of your panels, shallow scratches heal out with heat, and deeper marks mean the film comes off with the paint perfect beneath it, then goes straight back on.
What does it cost?
Every job is priced on the car and the work. The vehicle, the service, the material and the colour all move the number, so there is no single figure worth quoting. Send through a quote request with what you are after and we will come back with an accurate price.
How long will you need my car?
It depends on the job. A full colour change wrap, a full business signage wrap or a full PPF wrap means the car is with us for the week. Partial signage wraps, partial PPF and some blackouts take two to three days. Smaller work - bonnet and roof wraps, caliper painting, light and window tinting, blackouts and installation - is usually done inside a few hours.
Can you wrap just part of the car?
Yes. A full colour change, a printed design, or just a few parts. It is your call how far it goes.
What film do you use?
For wraps, 3M, Avery Dennison, Hexis, KPMF, Orafol and Teckwrap - hundreds of colours between them, across gloss, satin and matte. For paint protection film, Hexis, Zink and Stek.
Do you do mechanical work as well?
No. Defiant is cosmetic only. DMR Autoworx shares the unit at 9 Tech Way and handles servicing, tuning, electrical and performance work, so a car needing both does not have to go to two addresses.
