Window tinting
Window tinting,
in and out the same day.
Professional window tinting that cuts heat and glare, blocks UV, adds privacy and finishes the car properly. Quality tint films, installed clean, made to last.
Tint is the smallest job on this list and the one people notice every day. A Melbourne summer through untinted glass is heat on your arm and glare off the bonnet in front of you, and the UV that comes with it is what fades a dashboard and cracks a steering wheel.
The film does three things at once. It drops the heat coming through the glass, it takes the glare down without making the car dark to drive, and it stops the UV that ages everything inside. The privacy is the part people ask for and the part that matters least.

Window tinting out of
the Cranbourne workshop.

How it goes
Why it takes a few hours and not twenty minutes.
-
01
Glass comes clean first
Every window is stripped of anything on it and cleaned both sides. Anything left behind sits under the film permanently.
-
02
Film cut to the glass
Each piece is cut and shaped to the window it is going on, not to a rough size.
-
03
Heat-shrunk to the curve
Rear glass is curved in two directions. The film is shrunk to that curve before it goes in, which is the step that decides whether you get creases.
-
04
Fitted and left to cure
Installed wet and squeegeed out. A little haze for a few days is the moisture leaving and it clears on its own.
Questions we get asked.
How dark can I legally go in Victoria?
The front side windows have to let at least 35% of the light through. Behind the driver you can go to 20%, provided the car has a mirror on both sides - which almost everything does. The windscreen stays clear apart from a band across the top. We will talk you through where your car sits before anything is cut, because it is your car that gets defected, not ours.
How long before I can wind the windows down?
Two to three days. The film needs to bond to the glass and winding down early is the one thing that peels a fresh edge.
Why does it look hazy?
That is moisture still leaving from under the film. It clears itself within a few days and it is normal on every fresh tint.
Can you take old tint off?
Yes. Old film that has gone purple or started bubbling comes off and the glass gets cleaned back properly before new film goes on.
