Car wrapping
for Clyde North.
About eight minutes from the workshop. A wrap changes the colour of a new car without touching the paint it was delivered in, and it comes off when you want it to.
Clyde North is new estates and, in a lot of driveways, new cars. A new car is the best car to wrap: the paint underneath is perfect, nothing needs fixing first, and the film keeps it that way for as long as it is on.
That is the argument for a wrap over a respray on anything you have just bought. The colour you wanted the dealer to have is available in film, in gloss, satin, matte or a shift colour, and when it is time to sell or hand the car back the film comes off and the factory paint is still there.
The car is with us for about a week on a full colour change, because doing it properly means taking it apart. From Clyde North that is a short trip in and a short trip home.

What you can have
How far it goes is your call.
-
Full colour change
Every painted panel, wrapped and tucked. The car reads as that colour from any angle, including with the doors open.
-
Part wraps
A bonnet, a roof, a set of mirrors. The cheapest way to break up a colour, and usually a few hours rather than a week.
-
Printed designs
Artwork printed onto the film and laid to a layout drawn up first, so you see how it sits on the car before anything is installed.
-
Colour-shift and specialty film
Films that move through two or three colours as the light changes, plus chrome, brushed metal and textured finishes.

Car wrapping in Clyde North, answered.
Can you wrap a brand new car?
Yes, and it is the easiest car there is to wrap well. Clean factory paint means the film goes on over a perfect surface, and that same paint is what you get back when the film eventually comes off.
Can it come off before I sell the car?
Yes. Film comes off clean and the paint underneath is in the condition it went on in. That is a large part of why people wrap rather than paint.
How long does a wrap last?
Several years on a car that is garaged and washed by hand. Horizontal panels - roof, bonnet, boot - take the most sun and are always the first to go. Matte and satin films need a bit more care than gloss.
Can I take it through a car wash?
Hand wash it. Automatic washes with brushes catch edges, and that is where a wrap starts to lift.
