Not everything that comes through the roller door is a sports car. Commodore utes, a Tank 300, family cars - a wrap works on anything with painted panels, and a ute or a four wheel drive is often the car that suits a bold colour or a two-tone best.

Bigger vehicles take longer, because there is more of them and more to take apart, but the method is the same: trim off, panels cleaned back, film laid and tucked into the edges, then every edge post-heated so it stays down. On a four wheel drive that includes the bits people forget, like a spare wheel cover wrapped to match.

From Clyde it is about ten minutes in. Drop it off, and on a full colour change pick it up about a week later.

What you can have

How far it goes is your call.

  • Full colour change

Every painted panel, wrapped and tucked. The car reads as that colour from any angle, including with the doors open.

  • Part wraps

A bonnet, a roof, a set of mirrors. The cheapest way to break up a colour, and usually a few hours rather than a week.

  • Printed designs

Artwork printed onto the film and laid to a layout drawn up first, so you see how it sits on the car before anything is installed.

  • Colour-shift and specialty film

Films that move through two or three colours as the light changes, plus chrome, brushed metal and textured finishes.

Car wrapping in Clyde, answered.

Do you wrap utes and four wheel drives?

Yes. The gallery has Commodore utes in colour-shift and a GWM Tank 300 in a two-tone. Bigger vehicles take a little longer and are priced on the size, but nothing about the job changes.

Can I do a two-tone instead of one colour?

Yes. A roof, a bonnet or the lower half in a second colour is one of the simplest ways to change how a car reads, and it is laid out on the car before any film is committed.

Will a wrap damage my paint?

No. Film comes off clean and the paint underneath is in the condition it went on in - which is why a wrap is also a way of protecting original paint on a car you intend to keep. Paint that was already flaking or has been resprayed badly is the exception, and we will tell you before we start.

Can you wrap over damage?

Film follows what is underneath it, so dents and deep chips still read through. Anything that needs fixing is best fixed first.
